The Via Christi Foundation is a private non-profit corporation that exists to serve the Ascension Via Christi mission of providing healthcare to all, especially to the poor and underserved. We are grateful for our donors who give so generously to help others.

Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.

Via Christi Foundation Funds these key areas:
The Ascension Via Christi Transitional Care Clinic provides post-discharge medical care and ongoing support to patients with chronic illnesses, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and heart failure.
Forensic Nursing and Human Trafficking nurses care for approximately 350 patients per year, the majority of which are victims of sexual assault, human trafficking, and violence-related injuries. In addition, the forensic nursing team works with victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and elder abuse.
Ascension Via Christi is also a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital ® member hospital. Gifts made to Children’s Miracle Network help sick and injured children in Kansas by funding needed medical equipment, medicines, travel, lodging, and pediatric therapies and programs.
Patients in Need provides clothing, durable medical equipment, medicine, and transportation to patients when they are unable to afford these things.
